Lazarus Saturday is a special day in the Christian calendar, marking the miracle of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Commemorating the day, Lebanese youth in villages uphold the tradition of reenacting Lazarus’s resurrection. Dressed in traditional attire and glasses, they process through the streets, carrying icons, chanting hymns, and visiting homes to offer blessings. They collect eggs, which are later boiled, colored, and used in the Easter egg-cracking game after Easter Sunday Mass.
